Welcome to The ACP Advocate,
We start today by covering ACP's recent Leadership Day event where ACP members met with their members of Congress to bring them ACP policy priorities. Read the article for more about what ACP was asked for. I'm hopeful we'll see progress on many of these over the course of the year.
Today's second article is all about a new ACP policy paper, Women's Health Policy in the United States. The paper is a comprehensive set of recommendations about what can be done to improve the health care provided to woman and their families. The article has more details about what ACP is proposing.
Finally, in our last story we bring you up-to-date on ACP's advocacy about proposed changes to the Title X program that provides federal grants to provide contraception and related health services. We're concerned that the changes would put a limit on what physicians can say to their patients in the context of an appointment. Take a look at the article for more information.
